Troy Public Library hosts election discussion with HVCC professor at 6 p.m. today, Oct. 27

You Have Questions, We Have Answers at The Troy Public Library
Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.

Associate Professor Robert “Sid” Whitaker, from the Department of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences, will lead an online discussion via Zoom.** (For more information and to register, please call the library at  (518) 274-7071 or visit www.thetroylibrary.org. How do presidential elections work? What is the Electoral College and why do we have it? What does the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg mean for the future of the Supreme Court? How are justices appointed to the Court? Political Science Professor Whitaker will give a short presentation on presidential elections and the Electoral College, as well as Supreme Court and judicial appointments, and then allow time for questions.

**Joining the presentation will require the installation of the Zoom client on your computer (microphone and speakers required for audio, camera for video) or the Zoom app on your mobile device.
